The Duna Dorada Festival comes to Oliva on 22nd and 23rd May with Cepeda, Las Ketchup, El Arrebato and more. Two nights of live music by the Mediterranean. Here’s everything you need to know.
Oliva has its own festival now. And it looks promising.
Some events come along, fill a weekend and disappear without a trace. And then there are proposals that from the very beginning feel different: a clear intention, a setting that delivers and a line-up that genuinely connects with the people who are going to be there.
The Duna Dorada Festival belongs firmly in the second category.
On 22nd and 23rd May 2026, Oliva hosts the first edition of its very own music festival. Two evenings outdoors by the Mediterranean, with a line-up of established Spanish artists and a venue — the Summer Market, right on the seafront — that is worth the trip on its own. It doesn’t need to be the festival of the year. It just needs to be exactly what it promises. And everything points to it being just that.
The line-up: Spanish pop and rock with pedigree
Duna Dorada is not a festival of experimental acts or artists waiting to be discovered. It is a festival for pure enjoyment. For singing along. For recognising every song from the very first bars and feeling the night unfold exactly as it should.
Among the confirmed names for this first edition are Cepeda, Las Ketchup, Ella Baila Sola, El Arrebato and David DeMaría — artists with decades of experience and a direct connection with an audience broadly between 35 and 55 years old. Names that need no introduction, that play on the radio, at home and in the collective memory of more than one generation.
The organisers have confirmed that the line-up is not yet finalised and that between seven and eight additional acts will be announced in the coming months. In other words: what is already confirmed is just the beginning.
The venue: Music with the sea as a backdrop
The festival will take place at the Summer Market, located on Calle del Lledoner, right next to the beach — a setting designed for open-air concerts facing the Mediterranean.
The Summer Market is not an improvised space. It is a venue that has already proved its ability to host events with significant attendance, and one that becomes the perfect stage for everything Duna Dorada proposes: concerts, rest areas, food and drink offerings and spaces for complementary activities, all with the beach just steps away and the Mediterranean horizon as a backdrop.
The musical programme will run primarily in the late afternoon and evening sessions, making the most of the open-air setting and the proximity to the sea. Which is, of course, exactly how a festival in May on the Valencian coast should be experienced.
Stay at Oliva Nova: Less than 10 minutes from the festival
If you are heading to Duna Dorada, the question of where to stay has a straightforward answer: Oceans Oliva.
The Oceans Oliva apartments are located in the Oliva Nova development, less than 10 minutes by car from the festival venue. Once you know it, it becomes difficult to consider anywhere else: well-designed, spacious interiors, quality finishes, views over the golf course, a cleaning service included and the reassurance of staying in the only holiday accommodation in Oliva Nova at this level of service.
Coming back from the concert and actually being able to rest. Without the noise of a standard hotel, without sharing corridors with two hundred other guests, without the stress of having booked late and ended up wherever was still available.
The Gold Apartments — duplexes with a private rooftop pool — are the option for those who want the festival weekend to double as a genuinely special getaway. The Silver and Silver Plus apartments, spacious and filled with natural light, are ideal for couples or groups looking to combine it all: festival, beach, a good meal and proper rest. The Bronze apartments offer the same exclusive Oceans Oliva setting at a more accessible price point.
